Many of us have already replaced parts of our bodies with artificial versions: Artificial joints or dental impants, for example.

Most of our current options are passive, but our ability to merge human and machine opens the possibility of replacing more and more complicated parts of the body, including complete organs and/or limbs. You'd be surprised how much we've figured out already. What is science fiction today will be reality tomorrow.
